The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced final results of sunset reviews on trade orders covering non-oriented silicon steel (NOES) from six countries.

The DOC concluded that removing the antidumping and countervailing duty orders would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to US industry.

Final Antidumping Margins

  • Sweden: 126.72%
  • Germany: 98.84%
  • China: 407.52%
  • South Korea: 6.88%
  • Taiwan: 52.23%
  • Japan: 204.79%

Countervailing Duty Rates

  • China: 158.88%
  • Taiwan: 17.12% for Leicong Industrial Company Ltd.
  • Taiwan (others): 8.61%

NOES is widely used in electric motors, generators, and transformers, making it a strategic industrial material.

The decision keeps US trade protections in place for imports from the six countries.
