Australian iron ore producer Fenix Resources has secured all key regulatory approvals to begin development of the Beebyn-W11 Iron Ore Mine in Western Australia's Mid West region, marking another step in the company's expansion strategy.
The new operation is expected to produce approximately 10 million wet metric tons of iron ore over an initial mine life of around 10 years. Ore from the project will be transported through Fenix's integrated logistics network to the Geraldton Port for export.
Construction activities are scheduled to begin immediately, with first ore targeted in early 2027. The project is expected to strengthen Fenix's production profile while extending the utilization of its existing mining, transport and port infrastructure.
According to the company, the Beebyn-W11 development will support long-term production growth and improve operational efficiency by leveraging Fenix's established supply chain in Western Australia.
