Brazil’s foreign trade authorities have issued an affirmative preliminary antidumping determination on imports of hot rolled stainless steel flat products from China, India, and Indonesia.
The investigation was launched in June 2025 following a petition filed by Aperam Inox América do Sul S.A..
Brazil calculated the following preliminary dumping margins:
- China: 50.1%
- India: 17.9%
- Indonesia: 25.3%
Despite confirming injury to the domestic industry, Brazilian authorities decided not to impose provisional duties at this stage, citing the complexity of the case and the large volume of submitted evidence.
A final determination is expected by November 25, 2026.
