Japanese steel giant Nippon Steel has announced a strategic supply agreement with HH Stainless Pte Ltd, one of Singapore’s leading stainless steel suppliers, to distribute its low-carbon duplex stainless steel pipes throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
The products will be supplied under Nippon Steel’s NSCarbolex™ Neutral brand, a line of green steel solutions engineered for reduced greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide. These low-carbon pipes are manufactured using the mass balance method, a process that allows for lower overall environmental impact during production.
Under the agreement, HH Stainless will distribute the pipes to major industrial sectors, including petrochemicals, construction, marine, and offshore applications.
“This partnership marks a major step in expanding the adoption of sustainable steel in Asia,” Nippon Steel said in a statement.
As demand grows for environmentally responsible materials, Nippon Steel confirmed it will continue to collaborate with HH Stainless and other regional partners to increase the availability of NSCarbolex™ Neutral products and support Asia-Pacific’s transition toward green industrial infrastructure.
