Global crude steel production rose slightly by 0.3% year-on-year in April, reaching 155.7 million metric tons (mt), according to the latest data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel).
However, for the January–April 2025 period, output declined by 0.4% compared to the same timeframe last year, totaling 624.4 million mt.
