Freight Rates Tick Up Slightly for Brazilian Steel Imports in July

Brazilian steel imports saw a modest rise in transport costs, with the average freight rate increasing to US 55/mt in July, compared to US 53/mt in June. This slight uptick reflects minor shifts in shipping rates that may signal broader fluctuations in supply-chain costs. Though the increase is relatively small, traders will monitor whether this trend continues into late summer amid changing demand and logistical pressures.
