Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has announced a revision to the provisional anti-dumping duties on hot-rolled steel (HRC) imports from China. While the general duty rates remain between 19.38% and 27.83%, a specific duty of 27.83% has been imposed on Win Faith Trading Limited.
This decision follows an investigation initiated in July 2024 after domestic producers reported a surge in low-priced Chinese imports. The provisional duties, effective from March 7, 2025, aim to protect Vietnam's steel industry from unfair trade practices.
The MOIT continues to monitor the situation and may implement further measures based on the final investigation results.The affected HRC products fall under various HS codes, including 7208.25.00 and 7226.91.90.
