In January-March 2025, Ukrainian steelmakers reduced exports of semi-finished steel products by 34.8% year-on-year, totaling 294.2 thousand tons. This decline reflects the ongoing challenges faced by the industry amid geopolitical tensions and logistical constraints.
The majority of exports during this period were directed to Bulgaria and Turkey. The reduction in export volumes underscores the need for strategic measures to support the Ukrainian steel industry's recovery and competitiveness.
Efforts are being made to stabilize production and explore new markets, as the industry seeks to navigate the complex landscape shaped by external pressures and internal reforms.
