The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has issued preliminary results in its latest administrative review of antidumping duties on stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium, determining a zero dumping margin for the primary exporter under review.
According to the DOC, Aperam Stainless Belgium NV (ASB) did not sell stainless steel plate in coils at less than fair market value between May 1, 2023, and April 30, 2024. As a result, ASB received a weighted-average dumping margin of 0%.
The DOC also rescinded the review for ArcelorMittal Genk, Fenixs Steel NV, Helaxa BVBA, and Industeel Belgium, as these companies had no entries of subject merchandise during the review period.
The final results of the review are expected to be announced within 120 days of the preliminary decision’s publication. If upheld, the findings could have implications for future tariff assessments and trade policy related to EU steel imports.
