The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has released the final results of its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on stainless steel sheet and strip in coils (SSSS in coils) from South Korea, covering the period from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

The review concluded that certain South Korean producers and exporters received countervailable subsidies during the examined period. Final subsidy rates have been adjusted as follows:

  • Hyundai BNG Steel Co., Ltd.: 0.57%

  • Hyundai Steel Company: 2.47%

  • Geumok Tech. Co., Ltd.: 17.04%

These results reflect increases from the preliminary rates, which were set at 0.05% for Hyundai BNG, 0.76% for Hyundai Steel, and 15.57% for Geumok Tech.

Additionally, the DOC rescinded its review of Samsung STS Co., Ltd., citing that the company had no shipments, sales, or entries of the subject merchandise during the review period.
