The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has released the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from South Korea, covering the period from September 1, 2022, to August 31, 2023.
In a positive outcome for South Korean exporters, the DOC determined that NEXTEEL Co., Ltd, SeAH Steel Corporation, AJU Besteel Co., Ltd, Hyundai Steel Company, Husteel Co., Ltd, and ILJIN Steel Corporation had not sold OCTG products in the U.S. at less than fair value during the review period.
As a result, the DOC has assigned a final weighted-average dumping margin of _zero percent_** to all the reviewed companies.
These final results confirm and slightly revise the DOC's preliminary findings, which had shown:
-
0.00% dumping margin for NEXTEEL Co., Ltd
-
0.53% for SeAH Steel Corporation
-
And similar margins for AJU Besteel, Hyundai Steel, Husteel, and ILJIN Steel
The adjustment to zero across the board means no antidumping duties will be applied to these exporters, providing relief to Korean manufacturers and possibly influencing future U.S.–Korea trade relations in the steel sector.
