Salzgitter AG, a prominent German steel manufacturer, has secured a contract to supply spiral-welded large-diameter steel pipes for Angola's Quilonga Grande project. This initiative aims to revamp the drinking water infrastructure in Luanda, Angola's capital, which currently faces a daily water deficit of approximately 1.2 million cubic meters.
The project involves the construction of a new water supply system to address the city's outdated infrastructure. Salzgitter's pipes will play a crucial role in transporting water efficiently across the metropolitan area, ensuring a sustainable and future-oriented solution for Luanda's growing population.
This collaboration underscores Salzgitter's commitment to supporting essential infrastructure projects in developing regions, leveraging its expertise in steel manufacturing to contribute to global development goals.
