Tata Steel Limited has released Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for three flat steel products—steel slab, cold rolled closed annealed (CRCA) steel, and galvanized steel—highlighting its commitment to sustainability and transparency.
EPDs are internationally recognized eco-labels that provide verified data on a product’s environmental impacts throughout its lifecycle. Tata Steel’s EPDs are based on Life Cycle Assessments in line with ISO 14025, EN15804, ISO 14040, and ISO 14044.
This is not Tata Steel’s first EPD initiative—in 2022, it published an EPD for steel reinforcing bar in RCC construction. In Europe, it has produced over 50 EPDs for the construction sector.
