Finland’s stainless steel leader Outokumpu has signed an agreement with Denmark-based water technology company Grundfos to supply its green stainless steel, Circle Green®, for use in Grundfos’ products.
Grundfos, which previously used Outokumpu’s standard stainless steel, will now transition to Circle Green® for approximately 90% of its production in 2025. This shift is expected to reduce Grundfos’ carbon footprint by up to 93%.
The partnership marks a significant step toward decarbonizing water technologies through sustainable material sourcing.
