Malaysia's Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel from China, India, Japan, and South Korea.
The duties, ranging from 4.48% to 36.80%, will be enforced for five years starting May 11, 2025. This measure follows an investigation initiated in August 2024 after complaints from domestic producers about unfair pricing practices.
The affected products include those with a width of 600 mm or more, clad, galvanized, or tin-plated. The move aims to protect Malaysia's steel industry from material injury caused by dumped imports.
