Chubu Steel Plate, a Japan-based steel producer, has announced the resumption of its steelmaking operations following the closure of its Nagoya manufacturing plant after an accident on January 21.
The company confirmed that the necessary restoration work on both equipment and buildings has been completed, and the safety of operations has been thoroughly assessed and ensured through the implementation of countermeasures. With all relevant approvals obtained, steel production has now officially resumed.
However, the temporary closure caused by the accident has led the producer to revise its earnings forecast for the financial year 2024-25 downward.
